DJ Y alias JY – Vive La Liberté (Sunday Joint Paris Tribute) für die Blogrebellen

Nach den schrecklichen Geschehnissen vergangenen Freitag in Paris kam uns spontan die Idee, mit einem Sunday Joint den Opfern zu gedenken und unsere Solidarität mit den Menschen vor Ort zu bekunden. Wir fragten den gebürtigen Franzosen DJ Y alias JY ob er uns einen solchen Tribute Mix selektieren würde und erfreulicherweise sagte er direkt zu und entschied sich für eine „Track-Selection“.
"Ich durchforstete meine CD-Sammlung und selektierte alle meine guten, musikalischen Erinnerungen an Paris und Frankreich zusammen. 1. Mighty Mike – Réparer Le Monde
Mashup mit Coldplay „Fix You“ und Téléphone „Un Autre Monde“
Dieser Titel hat mich schon damals bei den Anschlägen auf Charlie Hebdo tief bewegt. Mighty Mike, mein Freund und Mashup-Artist aus Frankreich hat es aus dem Bauch raus nach den Anschlägen gebastelt – er musste es machen. Ich finde es grossartig. Téléphone ist eine fette Rockband aus Frankreich, und genau dieses Lied handelt von einer „besseren“ Welt.

2. Mc Solaar – Caroline
Klassiker, den ich damals in Paris entdeckt habe.

3. Christine and the Queens – Paradis Perdus
Sie ist zur Zeit meine französische Lieblingskünstlerin. Der Track ist übrigens ein Mashup aus Kanye West und dem französischen Komponist und Sänger Christophe.

4. Stefan Eicher – Rivière
Dieser Schweizer Künstler hat mir mal einen Urlaub in Paris versüsst. Das Album „Carcassonne“ ist übrigens phänomenal und lief damals in Dauerschleife auf meinem Disc-Man.

5. DJ Zebra – Jim Nous Portera
Mashup mit The Doors – „Riders On The Storm“ und Noir Désir – „Le Vent Nous Portera“
Zebra ist einer der besten Mashup Artist Frankreichs, und auch mittlerweile ein Freund, auch wenn wir uns noch nicht in real life begegnet sind. Er hat Freitagabend zwei Freunde im Bataclan verloren.

6. Tarmac – Je Cherche
Ich mag diese Band. der Sänger ist übrigens der Sänger von Louise Attaque.

7. Serge Gainsbourg – Requiem pour un con (The Orb Remix)
Auf deutsch: Requiem für ein Arschloch. Gainsbourg at its best, the Orb at its best.

8. Da Silva – L’Indécision

9. Tiken Jah Fakoly – Ouvrez les frontières
Der Sänger von der Elfenbeinküste singt „Öffnet die Grenzen“. Ja, es geht um Flüchtlinge, die den Krieg und der Armut entkommen wollen… aus dem Jahre 2007.

10. Zebra – Le Front National au premier Tour
Zebra ist nicht nur DJ sondern auch Komponist und Sänger. Dieses Lied ist erst eine Woche alt. Er hat es für alle Front-National-Wähler in Frankreich geschrieben. Nächsten Monat sind dort Regional-Wahlen. Er versucht damit die Leute umzupolen, die die Front National nur aus Protest und ohne Sinn und Verstand wählen wollen. Ich habe richtig Angst um den Ausgang dieser Wahlen, die Front National darf nicht siegen.

11. Phoenix – Too Young
Und zuletzt ein wenig Hoffnung in meinem Mix. Auch wenn der Text dieser Hymne so geht: „Can’t you hear it calling oh yeah, Everybody’s dancing oh yeah, Tonight everything is over, I feel too young“. Phoenix ist eine von diesen Bands, die man ohne Zweifel besonders im Bataclan erleben könnte.

Cro - MAOP

Cro's Debütalbum "RAOP" hat in kürzester Zeit die deutsche Musiklandschaft verändert.

Dann haben sich die bekanntesten deutschsprachigen Mashup Produzenten versammelt, um "RAOP" in seine Einzelteile zu zerlegen und es in neuem Gewand wieder auferstehen zu lassen. Das Ergebnis wurde "MAOP" getauft und es erscheint zunächst im Stream mit freundlicher Genehmigung von Cro & Chimperator.

Auf dem Album sind 13 Produktionen von DJ Morgoth, DJ Schmolli, Mashup-Germany, MashMike, DJ Y alias JY und Marc Johnce zu finden. Zusätzlich gibt es vier Bonus Tracks.
